GOLDHEART ASSEMBLY AT THE GROUCHO CLUB

We’re very excited to announce our first secret show since 2020!

Next Wednesday the 22nd June at 7pm, we’ll be back at the world-famous Groucho Club, hosting Goldheart Assembly as they perform songs from their up coming 3rd album, with support from Frank Hamilton and Ederlezi.

Due to travel restrictions we will aim to finish the live music by 9pm. So things will kick off at 7 sharp.

As usual the show will be an intimate guest list only performance with only 50 spaces available.

TRAIN STRIKES

Do not worry strike action DOES NOT effect public transport on Wednesday 22nd June, but there will just be some reduced service.

THE GROUCHO LIVE LOUNGE

You may have noticed that Groucho Unplugged has been rebranded to The Groucho Live Lounge, but you’ll be pleased to hear that the format will remain the same, hosting intimate songwriter showcases with some of the the music industry’s best talent.

GOLDHEART ASSEMBLY

Goldheart Assembly released 2 critically acclaimed albums and received huge amounts of support from Steve Lamacq, Coldplay Jonathan Ross and Dermott O’Leary to name but a few.

The band remains one of the only unsigned bands to ever play a Radio1 Maida Vale Session and they went on to have 6 consecutive playlist singles on BBC 6Music.

As well as selling out legendary venues like Scala, The Borderline, Kings College and ULU, the band also toured all over the US and Europe with acts like Band of Horses, The Civil Wars, The Magic Numbers and We Are Scientists.

Finding time to play almost every major UK festival, SXSW and making an appearance on US television to over 1 million viewers on Last Call with Carson Daly.

They will be joined at the Groucho Live Lounge by some very special guests.

FRANK HAMILTON

Frank Hamilton is best known for pioneering the rapid-release strategy with #OneSongaWeek - a year long project in which he wrote, recorded and released a song a week. Since then he has released two studio LPs and come full circle, announcing the return of One Song a Week II in 2019.

Frank has embarked on several headline tours and shared stages with Ed Sheeran, Take That, The Wombats and countless others. He has also supported the likes of Scouting for Girls, Lucy Spraggan, Lewis Watson, and most recently Wheatus on their European tour.

He has performed at several festivals including: Secret Garden Party, Reading & Leeds Festival, Belladrum, Isle of Wight Festival, The Great Escape, and CarFest.

Frank also hosts an annual Christmas show, 'Crikey It's Christmas', which began in his living room in 2010 and was held at Scala in 2016.

EDERLEZI

Formed in the lockdown summer of 2020, Ederlezi are a boat-dwelling duo. They spend their days meandering the London Thames, taking inspiration from the places they go and the people they meet.

Their music seeks to capture that indefinable something that resounds in the stories of lives lived with passion: addiction and anger and civil unrest; the search for something beyond commodities and commerce; and it beats with a nomadic, bohemian heart.

Frank Hamilton spent the whole of 2012 writing, recording and releasing one song a week.

Supporters/collaborators include Ed Sheeran, Newton Faulkner, The Crimea, Lauren Aquilina, Mark Grist, Ryan Keen, Lyracis, Dion Dublin and many more…

Most of the songs were recorded on a laptop in #OneSongaWeek HQ (Frank's living room) and released every Friday along with a frightfully honest blog.

The 'Best of #OneSongaWeek' album was rush-released on December 10th in response to iTunes choosing week 45's song (Flaws & Ceilings) as their free single of the week.

The album spent most of the week at #1 in iTunes singer/songwriter section (outselling Ed Sheeran, Jake Bugg, Gabrielle Aplin, Ben Howard etc) and reached #21 in the overall album chart, as well as #2 in Music Week's Indie Breakers album chart.

The project was 100% DIY, cost absolutely nothing (apart from the endless supply of tea-bags) and culminated in the first and last #OneSongaWeek live show at Camden Barfly (sold out) with some very special guests from the 52 weeks.
