This month's lineup includes:

PAT DAM SMYTH

"Conquers beautifully" The Independent "A rare kind of truthful songwriting" The Irish Times "Reminds me of Pink Floyd… epic!" - Cerys Matthews

Having recently returned from triumphant support slots with BBC 6 Music favourites Public Service Broadcasting as well as stunning several opera houses packed full of people in Ireland opening for the legendary Alison Moyet, Pat kicked off 2018 in the studio finishing a new record, venturing out only to record a special live session at the legendary Abbey Road Studios on Valentine's Day. Pat and the band have been applying the finishing touches to a new album which is set for release in Summer 2018 with Jim Sclavunos (Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds) at the helm on production and mix duties.

His debut album, The Great Divide, was hailed as a modern masterpiece in his native Northern Ireland and received critical acclaim beyond, from The Independent, Q magazine, Hotpress Magazine, Irish Times, Rock Italia, BBC Radio 2 and BBC 6 Music to name but a few. Leaving behind the lo-fi sound so perfectly captured there, Pat is writing bigger, bolder songs these days, having formed a telepathic bond with drummer, co - writer and co - producer Chris McComish.

ANNA PANCALDI

'…Arguably one of the hottest new acts out there.' - Spindle 'Really polished... She doesn't need our help, we need her' Dermot O'Leary, BBC Radio 2 'Pancaldi's lungs expelling the lyrics with a sense, not just of urgency, but of necessity.' - The Line of Best Fit

International songwriter Anna Pancaldi returns for summer 2018 with a new sound, a new album and a lot for her growing fanbase to be excited about. Already established as one of the UK's most promising new singer-songwriters, last years 'Sweet Charity' EP garnered overwhelming support from BBC 6 Music and Radio 2. Online, the tracks were picked up by Line of Best Fit, and featured on Spotify's New Music Friday, as well as, a number of other official playlists, resulting in over 1.5 million streams on Spotify last year. All of this, fanning the flames of a lengthy UK tour including four sold out London shows. In the last year she has graced the stages of Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party and Cambridge Folk Festival, whilst also finding time to support Prides, Hooverphonic, Bryde, Seafret and Jake Isaac on his European tour.

Not one to limit her horizons, Anna has enjoyed success in both the UK and US, where she made her US live TV debut on CBS. Her music has also been featured on US show 'Famous in Love', a popular drama show on ABC Network. She's also enjoyed an extended collaboration with Levi's, for whom she penned a song for their Lot 700 jeans collection and featured in the accompanying advert.

FREESOUL FAMILIA

I first came across this duo when they performed at our 2018 Groucho Open Mic night where they silenced the room and received a standing ovation from fellow performers. Having made similar shockwaves at Ronnie's Scott's with their genre melding bled of jaw dropping vocals and catchy melodies, we had to invite them back to the Groucho Club to showcase what they can do to our much loved Groucho Unplugged audience. Do not miss these guys!

ERAWAN

Half East and Half West, exciting newcomer Erawan wowed a packed crowd at Mays' Great Escape festival in Brighton who must have wondered how they'd never come across her before. A haunting alternative/folk artist, whose music is a mix of powerful, radiant vocals with dark beautiful lyrics, Erawan falls somewhere Joni Mitchell, 70's era Linda Perhacs, Nirvana and Sheila Chandra. An artist and writer of Thai heritage but raised in Norwich, she is currently in the studio recording her first official EP with producer Declan Legge.
